The Stadthuys

The Stadthuys is a historical structure situated in the heart of Melaka, Malaysia in a place known as the Red Square. The Stadthuys is known for its red exterior and nearby red clocktower. The Stadthuys was built between 1641 and 1660 on the ruins of a fort which belongs to the Portuguese. It is believed that the Stadthuys is the oldest Dutch structure in Melaka.
