Heeren House was a 18th-century Dutch-period warehouse that is now converted to a guesthouse and cafe, located right at the entrance of HeerenStraat (now called Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock).
Featuring 2 storeys, it offers a unique choice of bedrooms furnished in a simple modest classic style with traditional solid wooden furniture. All the rooms are located in the second floor overlooking the beautiful Melaka river, airconditioned, with private bathrooms, hot and cold shower, coffee/tea making facilities, work tables, and complimentary WiFi.
Heeren House has a cozy cafe downstairs where the free breakfast is served every morning. It is also the perfect place for those who want to chill and enjoy the river view while having a cup of coffee.
Also within view are Bastion Middleburg and St. Paul’s Hill, while Stadthuys and Christchurch and other relics of the Portuguese, Dutch, and British presence are only a few minutes walk away.
Additionally, close by are Heeren 8 (also an 18th-century Dutch-period residential house turned into a museum), the famous Jonker Street, popular restaurants like Chicken Rice Ball, and Kedai Kopi Chung Wah, and new hip cafes like Daily Fix, Stolen Cup, Kaya Cafe, and Navy Cafe.
